For those not familiar with the Contour Shuttle Pro, this device was introduced a couple years ago, providing a human interface for most NLE and DAW systems including Final Cut Pro, Avid Express, Discreet tools, ProTools, Ulead's Media Studio Pro, Sony's Vegas, ACID, Sound Forge, Photoshop, Premiere, AfterEffects, and many other finer media production applications. The original 13 button design allowed users to program their favorite keystrokes on the buttons themselves, saving time and keeping one hand firmly placed on the Shuttle.

The Version 2.0 Shuttle offers even more. It fits under the hand with the same ergonomic approach as the first version, but now has additional buttons. Users will quickly notice that the sheer mass of the jog/shuttle wheel makes for tighter accuracy when moving from frame to frame. The new jog/frame wheel also has 3 indentations in it, providing for a more accurate and solid grip from any position on the unit. The new design is black, fitting more appropriately in most studio color schemes as well. A slightly rough surface feels stable and strong underneath the hand, and doesn't have a tendency to slide as the first version did.
