The Image 4 series is the newest line of output cards from Datapath. The Image 4 like the Vantage 4 is a 4-port output card which can also output VGA or DVI, however unlike the Vantage 4 card Image 4 is built upon PCI Express architecture.

The PCI express architecture offers the user two distinct advantages over 32-bit PCI, first it is a faster bus structure offering the user a 480MB/sec bandwidth to transfer video between multiple input and output cards. The second advantage to PCI express is that the technology utilizes the 12v rail on motherboards reducing the amount of power required to drive multiple graphics cards.
